Savita Raj is a nationally recognized leader in advancing equity in STEM education. As chief
executive officer of Techbridge Girls, Savita Raj leads the organization in its mission of building
equitable systems in STEM education through educator training, curriculum development, and
support.
An engineer by training, Savita has promoted youth empowerment and engagement in STEM
through non-profit leadership for more than 20 years.
Prior to joining Techbridge Girls, Savita served as CEO of BootUp Professional Development and
as Chief Program Officer for the Girl Scouts of the USA. In these roles, she drove the development
and delivery of inclusive, innovative, and relevant national programs for youth, volunteers, and
educators.
As Executive Director of the Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering for almost a decade,
Savita led the development of innovative STEM initiatives connecting Texas schoolchildren to
STEM education. These included the production and publication of bilingual comic books, the
design and operation of mobile museums filled with hands-on activities, and the organization of
annual STEM competitions across the state.
A creative thinker, optimist, connector, and motivator, Savita is involved with non-profit boards and
committees both nationally and in her hometown of Austin, TX.
