Dr. Sarah Trinh (she/her) is a Senior Researcher at the Geena Davis Institute. She earned her Ph.D. in developmental psychology at the University of Michigan. She has used qualitative and quantitative methods to examine how young people and their friends collaborate to make meaning of their sexual relationships and experiences. She is broadly interested in how people come to identify, understand, and critique the “shoulds” and “coulds” that they learn from socialization agents, such as friends and the media.
