Founder of @SEEN for Representation in Hollywood

As a recognized industry executive and advocate for representation in entertainment, Jen Louis Barrett has led and built work to drive change with organizations such as CNN, NBC, and Meta where she currently serves as Head of Entertainment for Meta’s Global Business Group. In this role, Jen leads the creative vision and strategy for all of Meta’s partners across the film, TV, streaming, publishing, sports and music industries to help them build meaningful connections with their audiences around their IP and across Meta platforms. Jen brings 20+ years of successful international executive and creative leadership experience in entertainment, tech, design, and advertising.

In her role at Meta, Jen is also the founder of the Meta SEEN program, created in 2017 to support historically underrepresented storytellers in the entertainment industry (Instagram @seen). Through SEEN, she has led research, education, advocacy, creative and strategic support for over 1000 storytellers from underrepresented communities in spaces such as Sundance, SXSW, London Film Festival, and in partnership with organizations The Blackhouse Foundation, The Geena Davis Institute, African American Film Critics Association and The British Film Institute.

Prior to her 10+ years at Meta, Jen held roles as the Global Director of Design for CNN as well as the Global Creative Director for NBC’s The Weather Channel.

She has served on the executive board for the The Professional Association for Design (AIGA), the American Advertising Federation, on the advisory board for International Academy of Design & Technology, and as a coach for ADCOLOR’s Futures program and Juror for the One Show. Jen is a requested speaker for Mobile World Congress Women4Tech, Variety Changemakers Summit, PromaxBDA, Women in Entertainment, London Film Festival, Sundance, AIGA, ADCOLOR, and Valleywood. Jen and her work have been featured in media outlets such as Variety, Forbes, The Hollywood Reporter, Campaign, and Deadline.

Jen is a graduate of the University of Florida and currently resides in Atlanta, GA with her amazing husband Ray and tiniest loves Marcus & Hugo.
