Cameron Espinoza (she/her) is Director of Applied Research at the Geena Davis Institute. Her primary work at the Institute includes Spellcheck for Bias®, research design, and special projects. Cameron is completing her Ph.D. in political science at City University of New York (CUNY). In addition to her graduate work, she is a Junior Scholar at the Stone Center for Socio-Economic Inequality. Her research focus is on voter suppression and restrictions of suffrage at the state-level in the United States. She holds a Master’s degree in Politics and International Relations from Selwyn College, University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom and a B.A. in English Literature and Political Science from the University of Southern California. She lives with her cats in New York City.
