Probe into Hollywood sexism as female directors are asked whether they’ve been held back by their gender

The US has launched an official investigation into gender discrimination in Hollywood that could radically shake up the male-dominated film industry. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has contacted dozens of female directors to ask them about how they have been mistreated. It sent out letters to 50 women in what could be the first step in a class action lawsuit against major Hollywood studios. Read more…
