Pat Summitt was named NCAA Coach of the Year seven times, the Naismith Coach of the Century in 2000 and received a 2012 Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama.
Ms Summitt also coached the 1984 US Women’s Olympic team, which won a gold medal.
She also played for the US women’s basketball team, which won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Montreal in 1976. Read More…
