Trailer Watch: A Single Mom Falls for a Provincial “Hick” in Julie Delpy’s ‘Lolo’

“How can you think I’d be interested in two hot 20-year-old blondes?” asks Violette’s new beau, Jean-René, when she finds him asleep between a pair of them in the trailer for Julie Delpy’s “Lolo.” Violette — played by the film’s co-writer and director Delpy — responds with a gigantic “Hah!” aimed squarely, it seems, at all the straight males of this world. Turns out the sexy tableau is all a big misunderstanding, however — one most likely orchestrated by Violette’s son Eloi, more commonly known as Lolo.
