What Happens When Women Lead in Hollywood

We know the statistics on women in Hollywood. They’re bleak: Only 4.1 percent of the top 1,300 films released between 2002 and 2014 have female directors; 94 percent of studio heads are white, 100 percent are male; of the top 100 films in 2014, only 21 percent featured a female lead.
