Melanie Lorísdóttir (she/her) is a Researcher at the Geena Davis Institute. She is also a former research assistant for the Child and Family Lab in the Psychology Department at Tulane University in New Orleans. Melanie has her B.A. in Philosophy and Critical Theory with minors in African Studies and Human Rights from the University of Washington in Seattle, where her thesis examined the ethics of social justice advocacy abroad through the lens of gender equity work in Kenya.
