The Women’s Media Center’s new report – WMC Investigation: 10-Year Analysis of Gender and Oscar Nominations – documents 19 non-acting categories and finds that over the past decade, women accounted for just 19 percent of all non-acting Oscar nominations (fewer than one in five!). From 2006 to 2015, women received 327 nominations in behind-the-scenes roles that include producers, writers, directors, and cinematographers, compared to 1,387 men. Read More…
